Project Scope

This is not a simple offers app — it is a production-ready ecosystem designed to organize and facilitate commercial discounts from malls and supermarkets, connecting them directly with consumers.

My Role & Responsibilities

✓ Designed the database schema and relationships between stores, discounts, and cities.

✓ Developed the Customer and Merchant apps using Flutter with Clean Architecture and state management.

✓ Built the backend with Laravel, delivering 90+ secure and scalable RESTful endpoints.

✓ Integrated Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to notify users about new deals in real time.

✓ Created the admin panel for supervising stores, approving offers, and managing categories.

✓ Implemented geographic filtering by Yemeni cities and commercial categories.

Multi-City Filtering

Seamless, instant filtering of offers by city (Sana'a, Aden, Taiz, etc.) and commercial categories.

Real-Time Countdowns

Accurate countdown timers for active and expired offers, with distinct visual states.

Merchant Self-Management

A dedicated merchant app and panel to independently add, edit, and manage discounts quickly.

Technical Challenges & Solutions

1. Dynamic Countdown State Management

Built a smart logic engine on the mobile side to calculate validity periods and automatically update offer status once the timer expires, without requiring a page reload.

2. Query Performance & Fast Filtering

With a large number of stores and offers, optimized MySQL queries by adding indexes on cities and categories, ensuring minimal API response times even under load.
